Creating an Event Listing

This guide walks you through creating a comprehensive event listing on ExpoDiscover.

Before You Begin

  • You must be a member of an organization with Event Organizer capability
  • Have your event details ready (dates, location, description)
  • Prepare high-quality images (cover image, gallery photos)

Creating Your Event

1. Navigate to Events

From your dashboard, go to Company > Events and click Create Event.

2. Basic Information

  • Event Title — Clear, descriptive title (e.g., "TechConnect 2026 — Annual Technology Summit")
  • Description — Detailed overview of your event, target audience, and highlights
  • Short Description — A one-line summary for search results and cards
  • Category — Select the event type (Conference, Exhibition, Trade Show, etc.)
  • Format — In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid

3. Date & Location

  • Start/End Date — Set the full event duration
  • Timezone — Select the correct timezone for your event location
  • Venue — Search for an existing venue or enter a custom address
  • Address — Full street address for attendee navigation

4. Media

  • Cover Image — Main event image (recommended 1600×900px)
  • Gallery — Additional photos showcasing past editions or the venue
  • Videos — YouTube or Vimeo links for promotional content

5. Pricing & Capacity

  • Pricing Type — Free, Paid, or Registration Required
  • Price Range — Approximate cost for attendees
  • Expected Attendance — Helps with search filtering
  • Capacity — Maximum number of attendees

6. Additional Details

  • Website URL — Link to your official event website
  • Registration Link — Direct link for attendee registration
  • Tags — Add relevant keywords for discoverability

Publishing

Once all required fields are filled:

  1. Click Preview to review your listing
  2. Click Publish to make it live
  3. Your event will appear in search results and on the events page

Managing Your Event

After publishing, you can:

  • Edit details at any time from Company > Events
  • View analytics (views, clicks, saves)
  • Manage floor plans and booth assignments
  • Track attendee interest and registrations
